Cheshire - Our home county

PRINTERS IN CHESHIRE*

Commercial print for Cheshire businesses needs to work in the hand, on a wall and on the people representing the brand. MDR brings creative design and hands-on production knowledge to literature, signage, exhibition graphics, packaging and branded clothing. We directly produce a wide range of work using our own equipment, helping businesses across the county choose suitable specifications and take each brief through to a finished job.

CHESHIRE - CHESHIRE

One brief. Different types of print*

The identity can stay familiar while the physical job changes. A brochure must organise a detailed offer; stationery must reproduce contact information reliably; a sign must be recognised before someone reaches the entrance. An exhibition display introduces a message at a distance, while packaging and promotional print are encountered much closer up.

For a Cheshire business buying across those formats, decide what each item contributes. Keep common brand references, but allow the reading order, amount of information and production method to suit the task. Team clothing also has to accommodate the garment and the wearer's work, rather than simply inherit the layout from a printed page.

Two wider-portfolio references show why the format deserves its own decisions. Specsavers' learning materials use boards and workbooks for participation. Nabil Nayal's exhibition print brings photography, art prints and lookbooks into a showcase. Neither is presented here as a Cheshire commission.

Our Creative Design, Commercial Print, Exhibition Displays and Garment Printing services help develop those separate outputs as parts of a usable commercial brief.

Forton exterior signage, wayfinding and staff-uniform project by MDR

MDR production example

An identity with several jobs to do*

For Forton, MDR produced exterior retail signs, directional information and branded staff clothing. The brief applied one identity to the premises and the people working there, with each output fulfilling a different role.

The entrance signs establish recognition. Wayfinding helps visitors navigate. Uniforms carry the identity through staff interaction. That is more than a change of size: the position of the information, its physical setting and the type of item all affect the production discussion.

Forton is an example from MDR's wider portfolio, not a claimed Cheshire project. For a business coordinating its premises and team materials across the county, it offers a practical reference for considering those outputs together without specifying them identically. Print support across Cheshire*

Use this county guide as a starting point, then explore the service-area page most relevant to your business. The local guides bring practical print requirements and genuine portfolio references into a more specific setting.

Whether you are ordering for one premises or supplying several Cheshire teams, tell us where the finished items will be used. Different sites may need different versions, quantities or receiving arrangements, even when they share the same business identity.

Specify the job for how it will be used*

Start with the conditions the print will meet. A counter-top handout, an outdoor message and a display packed away after an event have different demands. Finished dimensions, material, durability and viewing distance should follow that use, not just an attractive preview of the artwork.

Quantity also affects the brief. Distinguish the total run from the number of versions, and explain whether the order will be replenished. Handling can influence folds, binding or protective finishing; repeatability needs a usable record of the agreed artwork and specification. Include where the items must arrive and when they need to be available, particularly for orders supplying more than one Cheshire location.

Talk through these conditions before settling on Speciality Finishes, Large Format Print or a garment decoration method. The useful specification is the one that explains how the finished item will perform.

FROM BRIEF
TO
FINISHED
JOB*

You do not need to arrive with a technical answer to every production question. Describe what your Cheshire business is making and the situation it needs to work in. An existing piece that is difficult to read, awkward to handle or no longer suitable can be a useful starting reference.

Send quantities and finished dimensions where known, together with artwork or existing brand assets. Explain the intended use and required date, and flag any finishing preferences. If consistency with an earlier order matters, include a sample, photograph or previous job reference so we can understand which details need to remain fixed.

For work supplying several premises, identify the items and quantities for each destination. For clothing, add the garment requirements and size breakdown; for signs or displays, show the proposed position and available space. Those details make the specification more useful than a product name alone.

MDR can help determine an appropriate production approach for businesses throughout Cheshire, drawing on practical knowledge of materials, artwork and finishing. Bring the requirements you know and the questions you still have. Discuss your print brief, or request a quote when the information is ready.
